Novel System warns driver of black ice
A real-time system that detects slippery conditions and issues warnings and instructions to the driver could help to reduce accidents and personal injuries caused by slippery road conditions. This is precisely what a new Finnish invention does: it detects black ice and alerts drivers. Initially, the system will be installed in heavy traffic vehicles, but may later be made available for passenger vehicles, too.
